With hardly a pause we've moved from birthday banners to advent calendars and twinkling lights. Tis the season. Late Friday night I hung our advent calendar, organizing the daily holiday activities around our weekly schedule. And Saturday morning the kids were ready, we snipped greens, cut berries and bought colored lights. Sunday we gathered soggy pine cones and dried them (like we learned last year), and today we're decorating them for the birds. Each day a simple (and sometimes not so simple) family activity to put us in the spirit of giving and to raise our spirits during these days of early darkness.
Who couldn't use a little bling about now?
